Do God Know You: Food for thought

Most people that call themselves Christians get offended when you ask this question, do God know you? And based on their answer you show them in the bible the truth, God don't know you if you are not keeping his commandments. Some have said , I don't care what the bible say; I know God knows me.

In case you are feeling some kind of way after reading the above, check it out for yourself:

1Jn:2,3-4  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
God by his own choice refuse to know you if you don't keep his commandments.

Here the conclusion of the whole matter

Ecc:12,13-14
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Do God Know You

Do you know God or should the question be, do God know you

Do God know you is a question most people would say yes to. However, no one seems to consider if you are not in covenant with God he don't know you. God has conditions for what he offers to man, even his salvation.

You are not going to walk through the gates of the city into the Kingdom of God and not obey his word. This principle is the same when it come to God's love, it's conditional. Now let's look at some scripture to prove these statements

1Jn:2,3-4  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Jn:14-15, 21  If ye love me, keep my commandments.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Matt:7,21-23
  • 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
  • 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
  • 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Why did Jesus respond in this manner; these were church folks who did not keep God's commandments and the consequences were devastating. Don't let this happen to you.

1Jn:3,3-4  Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

What law? The Ten Commandments This is the covenant God made with Israel and commanded them to keep them, for this is your wisdom and understanding saith the Lord.

 Deut:4,2,6,12-13
  • Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
  •  Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
  •  12 And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.
  • 13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Most pastors are in trouble with God today because they tell their congregation the law is done away with, referring to the Ten Commandments and we are under Grace. Yes we are under Grace if we keep God's commandments. Here what God has to say!!!

Matt:5,17-19
  • 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
  • 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
  • 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matt:15,7-9

  • Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
  • This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
  • But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Is:29-13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

 1Cor:12,12-13
  • 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
  • 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Ephe:2,18
  • 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
  • 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
  • 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
  • 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Gal:3-29,27-29
  • 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
  • 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
  • 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
If you are of Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise you have to do what Abraham did. He keep the commandments statues and laws, circumcised the males in his family and the strangers which are considered non-Israelites.

Ex:12-49  One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Is:56:1-7
  • v-1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
  • v-2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
  • v-3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
  • v-4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
  • v-5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
  • v-6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
  • v-7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine, house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.

 If you consider yourself a Christian, even the home born Israel; you have to become Spiritual Israel and there is one law for all.

Matt:25,1-13

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
